THE CALLING
I fell in love with this work before I knew what it would ask of me.
For more than 21 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside children with special needs and the families who love them fiercely. As a pediatric physical therapist, I watched little ones take their first independent steps, reach milestones that once felt impossibly far away, and show the world exactly what they were made of.
Those moments never became ordinary to me. Every single win felt like a miracle — because to the families I served, it was. I celebrated with them. I cried with them. And I showed up every single day because this population had captured my heart in a way I cannot fully explain.
Twenty-one years in, that love has never wavered. If anything, it has deepened — because life gave me a front-row seat to understanding what these families truly carry.
THE RECKONING
Then I became the mom — and everything changed.
When my husband and I adopted our son, I thought my clinical experience would prepare me for what lay ahead. I knew the special needs world. I had held the hands of hundreds of families through appointments, setbacks, breakthroughs, and everything in between.
I was not prepared.
“I felt completely inadequate as a mom — and I was the one who was supposed to know better. That guilt was the loneliest feeling.”
I thought I did everything right. I pursued the specialists. I attended every appointment. I asked all the questions I knew to ask. I advocated consistently, the way I had taught so many parents to do for their own children.
And still, something was missing. The system I had worked within for two decades — the one I trusted, the one I had built my career inside — did not have the answers my son needed. I kept hitting walls. And I kept wondering: is this really all there is?
THE TURNING POINT
I started digging — and found a whole new world.
Out of a need for my own health, I began exploring natural and integrative medicine. What I discovered did not just help me personally — it opened a door I had not known existed. Root causes. Gut health. Methylation. The intricate connection between what a child eats, how their body functions, and how they feel, behave, and develop. I began seeing connections I had never been taught to look for in conventional practice.
The more I learned, the more I realized: the questions I had been asking for years in the clinic — the ones the conventional system could not answer — had answers. They just lived somewhere else.
I became a certified Integrative Health Practitioner at both Level 1 and Level 2. I began applying what I was learning to our family, and I watched things begin to shift for my son, who was already in his 20s, in ways that two decades of conventional care had not achieved.

THE PURPOSE
I believe God allowed all of this for a reason.
The years in the clinic. The hard seasons as a mom. The early mornings studying integrative health. None of it was wasted. Every single experience — the joys, the frustrations, the walls, the breakthroughs — was preparation.
Total Vitality exists because I know what it feels like to love a child fiercely and still feel utterly lost. I know the gap between the conventional medical world and the root-cause answers that families are searching for. And I know — from the inside out — how to help you bridge it.
If you are a parent who is exhausted, overwhelmed, and quietly wondering whether there is something more you could do for your child — I am here for you. Not as a distant expert with a clipboard. As someone who has lived this road, made peace with it, and found her purpose because of it.
I work with families in Round Rock, Austin, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Leander, Pflugerville, Hutto, throughout Central Texas, and virtually across the United States. The families I work with included but are not limited to those whose children have a wide range of developmental and health challenges, including autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, genetic conditions, feeding challenges, and complex medical histories.
“I believe every child deserves to be viewed as a whole person—not a collection of diagnoses or isolated symptoms.”
If my story sounds familiar, I’d love learn yours.
